The Role:

Kahn Architecture is a mid-sized, interiors-focused architecture design firm in search of an architectural professional who has minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in Corporate Interiors. We are looking for someone who can support and strengthen the firm’s deliverables by contributing / leading the documentation team and coordinate all facets of the document process with engineers, expeditors, contractors and other staff members.  Candidate must have strong AutoCAD skills.

You will be working with the firm’s senior project leadership team on our corporate accounts and in spearheading the documentation for office interiors, core facilities, lobbies, and other real estate driven capital improvement projects for building owners and tenants. Candidates must have a strong understanding of all phases of the project process especially in the coordination of other consultants including MEP engineering, structural engineering, acoustical engineering and building department filing requirements. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and be able to work with other team members to meet project goals and deadlines.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5-10 years’ experience with previous experience working in a corporate interior’s architecture office.

• A professional degree in architecture or interior design.

• High level understanding of interior construction.

• Has many years of experience in assembling set of construction documents for filing, GC bidding and have had some experience on interacting with contactors on construction sites.

• Experience with shop drawings and submittal reviews.   

• Proficient in AutoCAD.

• Highly organized with an attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• New York/Tri-State area resident preferred.

• Be a U.S. citizen, or already possess a work visa for working in the U.S.
